Why Choose TBC To Represent Me?
Why Should I Choose TBC To Represent Me?
TBC is dedicated exclusively to assisting clients through bankruptcy. Each year, our bankruptcy lawyers represent about almost a third of all people who file in Southern Illinois. Why have all these people chosen TBC to advise and represent them?
Experienced Attorneys. Since bankruptcy is all we do, all of our attorneys are familiar with all bankruptcy law, the local legal rules and procedures, and the latest changes in case law and federal law. Mr. Mueller has over twenty years of bankruptcy experience, and has been selected by his fellow attorneys as a Leading Illinois Attorney in the field of Bankruptcy Law.
Free Initial Consultation with an Attorney. Spend forty-five minutes to an hour with an attorney, reviewing your financial situation and your goals, and learning about your legal options. TBC does not ask you to fill out lengthy questionnaires in advance of the meeting – just bring all of your bills, paycheck stubs for the last two months, any lawsuit notices, and your tax returns for the last two years with you, and we take care of the paperwork.
Fast Service. Once they have decided to file a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 through our office and provide any additional documents, most clients return within three to five days to sign their bankruptcy petition, which is then filed with the Court with in 1 week. Since the client is not legally protected from his or her creditors until the petition is filed with the Court, fast service can be an important factor in preventing utility shut-offs or vehicle repossessions. It will also put an earlier stop to the harassing phone calls from bill collectors.
Reasonable, Flat Attorney’s Fees. Because of the number of bankruptcies our firm files each year, we are able to charge our clients fees that are lower than those of many of our competitors. Equally important, we do not charge extra attorney’s fees for preparing standard additional paperwork that may be needed later on.
In order to retain our services, we require just $275, which includes the Court’s $274.00 filing fee, for a Chapter 13 – the remainder of the fees are paid through your Chapter 13 plan over a three to five-year period. For a Chapter 7, we require the Court’s $299.00 filing fee plus $751.00 in attorney’s fees plus $50 for credit counseling, up front.
