TBC is a bankruptcy law firm founded by William A. Mueller in 1992. Mr. Mueller chose to focus his expertise to provide clients with excellent service for a reasonable fee. Still one of the few firms in Southern Illinois that practices bankruptcy law exclusively. TBC has grown to be the area’s largest bankruptcy filer, handling almost 30% of all bankruptcies in the Southern District of Illinois, including 48% of all Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. For clients’ convenience, TBC has several office locations, including Belleville, Mount Vernon, Effingham and Marion, IL and St. Louis, MO.

Since 1992, TBC has filed more than 15,000 bankruptcies and eliminated more than $195,900,000.00 in debt. In 2004 alone, TBC filed almost 3000 bankruptcy cases. All TBC attorneys practice bankruptcy law exclusively, and have a combined total of almost 80 years of bankruptcy experience.

The Bankruptcy Company was opened in 2006 to provide the same quality of legal service to Missouri residents that The Bankruptcy Center had provided to Illinois residents for 14 years.
